Is it really 50 weeks already? Gotta get working on his birthday party! Yes, it will just be our little family of three for his party, but that's kinda fun. I began browsing Pinterest for ideas and I'm pretty excited. We did a grocery run today and I picked up the first few things for his party! His presents are ordered and now I just need to make and mail out his invites (to our immediate family only, just for fun).
Again, this post is from my phone because I don't want to dig out my laptop. It is in the office where all the boxes for the downstairs rooms are. I have been making good progress, but unpacking with a baby is much more difficult than sans baby!
Jack has transitioned well to our new home. I think he really enjoys having Mommy AND Daddy around now. We facetimed with Grammy and Papa and he was all smiles to see them again.
On March 9 he took his first steps! He was standing there and I handed him two mini m&m containers (empty from MOPS, but some of his favorite toys!) and he looked pretty stable... So I tried to get him to come to me. He took two solid steps before he sat down! We tried again and he took one step before he decided he would rather crawl. Momma is so proud of him! Dada was home to see too!
Jack had begun to know that Matt is "dada". He's said it in reference to Matt a few times and that makes us very happy. We didn't think it would take long. I am just so thankful that after all the time away Jack seems to remember Matt and he's not afraid of him.
Dada has been teaching Jack how to crawl downstairs. Jack is still getting the hang of it, but he can go down the two steps to the landing on the staircase by himself, the full flight he's still intimidated by.
Jack loves black olives and carrots. He's been eating more food from our plates instead if just baby food. He has quite the taste buds and will try/eat anything.
Our house is finally starting to feel like home. Our washer/dryer is coming tomorrow and then we'll install the baby gates so Jack can roam free. Well, as free as can be with all our moving boxes. Hopefully we'll be all unpacked by this weekend!
