36 Weeks

Another week come and gone. After seven months it seems like milestone after milestone came. Baby is just growing up so fast! I still have awhile for him to be my little baby, but it sure seems like he's a little boy already!

New milestones: Jack can now pull himself from sitting to standing up with the help of his play yard gate. He has been pulling himself up on Momma, but hasn't been able to do it on an inanimate object. He is getting so much stronger and likes to walk around holding my hands. We have practiced standing and he has been able to balance for a few seconds before tipping over. He catches himself when he starts to tip but then can't catch himself when he begins leaning the other way. He does very well if I just hold lightly around his hips and he balances the rest of his body. His first tooth also popped through this week! I could feel the little bump last week, the tippy tip early this week, see a little white spot, and today I can see the entire top poking through! He has consistently been saying "Mumma" when he wants or needs me. It is very, very endearing. He also signs "more", but I usually have to remind him to do it! He just gets so excited when he sees those Puffs!

Jackson continues to have a little separation anxiety, but he was able to stay in the nursery the entire time during MOPS. He slept most of the time though, so that certainly helped. He loves it when I just hold him. We brought out his play yard to set it up and he does fairly well in it. He does like when I sit in it with him though. It is so helpful now that Jack is crawling. I also received my Christmas present early- an Ergo baby carrier. I had heard from so many people that it was by far the best, especially for older babies/toddlers. Oh.my.word. I should have gotten one sooner! I will use it for quite awhile yet with Jack and then with future babies. It is so comfy for both me and Jack. I got the "Options" carrier so it came with a few different covers with patterns. Super cute. The carrier itself is black so Matt can use it too without it being too "girly".

Jack also met almost the entire Bonnell side of the family at the Christmas party this weekend. He was a bit intimidated by all the new people, but he did quite well. He played with others and then needed some Mommy snuggles. He loved opening his presents, but mostly wanted to eat the wrapping paper.

Jackson's first milksicle.

 New Ergo carrier.

Baby's first stocking.

Baby gate. Love all the bright colors.

Silly face.

Stinker pants during his weekly pictures.

So typical of him right now. Always pulling on his sleeves and chewing on them.
Love his shirt too- Baby Gap, polar bears, "I love Mommy".

First toofer!

Yeah, we kinda took over the living room.
