49 weeks

All the pictures in this post are from my phone since my laptop isn't hooked up to our Internet yet. While it is SO nice having Internet and cable (the first time having any kind of TV in our marriage) it will definitely be nicer when our wireless router comes tomorrow with our moving truck!

So, this is almost a full week late- but we were moving, getting settled, and without Internet.

Baby did so well with our last week in Michigan. Mommy and daddy were so busy packing up everything and then we had a long trip to Oklahoma. Baby did so well and made me thankful, once again, that our baby is Jack. He is such a great little traveler.

We spent 15 hours on the road the first day. Jack slept and played by himself. He cried twice and both times he was hungry. We stopped for lunch/ dinner, he got some food, and we just hung out for a bit so he could have some time out of the carseat. After that he was good to go again! I am so thankful he was content on. his own in the backseat. It is not comfy for an adult to sit back there! The second day we only drove about 2-3 hours and we were here! Our new home.

We ran some errands on Monday so his weekly picture was taken in the kids play area of the housing office on post. We spent quite a bit of time in those play areas the first two days we were here. Jack loved the new toys.

Jack continues to be clingy to Momma, but that's to be expected when he's been uprooted and after all the travel we've done recently. He made me hold him when we were shopping etc instead of sitting in the cart or stroller.

Other than that- some mommy things that are just funny. Things change so much when you're a Mommy. Have drool or snot all over your shirt? In your hair? Have to go out in public like that? Whatever. That's now normal. (Oh yes, Jack had a cold during this week. Lots of Kleenex and a sad stuffed up baby) I can't remember the last time my legs were both shaved! Probably not since he was born honestly. I have shaved one at a time, but there were weeks between even that! I used to hate going out with my toe or finger nails not perfect. Toenail polish is a luxury. Fingernails, well, they get done when they get done. I resort to clear most of the time since it doesn't show chopping quite as much. Sometimes I don't get to eat breakfast... Or lunch... And I don't realize it until I'm starving and it's 7 pm! I do usually remember to feed Jack and if I don't he reminds me pretty quickly. I feel guilty when I "share" some of Jack's Cheerios or animal crackers. It is his snack after all. You can blame your passing gas on your baby and no one is the wiser. I have gone out in public numerous times with absolutely zero makeup on- before Jack this hasn't happened since about the 7th grade! Nothing is "new" anymore- everything is on it's way to being ruined. There can never be enough toys if it keeps your kid occupied. Disney junior is a lifesaver- from the mom who thought she wouldn't use TV as a babysitter. My computer gave me a message that storage space is limited... Meaning I have so many pictures of Jack that it is full... And it hasn't been a full year yet!

So many more. But that's all for now. Another weekly post in a couple days with some exciting stories! Jack sure had been busy this week!

Goodnight from Oklahoma!
