My little baby is 10 Months old today. When did that happen?
We are still working on the whole sleeping-through-the-night-in-his-own-crib thing... but it's getting better. This past week when Momma and baby weren't feeling very good doesn't really count, right? Getting some sleep is better than battling it in separate beds, right? Right!
Jack is working so hard to stand on his own and walk. He is pretty sturdy on his feet when he isn't thinking to hard about standing. He lets go of furniture quite often and just stands there on his own. He took a little baby step the other day. He was standing and moved his foot from one position to another so he was facing a different direction. He hasn't tried to take any other steps on his own yet. He knows he can sit down and crawl much faster.
He babbles constantly. I love hearing all his little sounds. It is so fun to watch him learn to associate different sounds with words or things. I haven't been enforcing sign language too much. He is such a good eater that it's easier to just feed him spoonful after spoonful instead of pausing to do "more" or "please" each time.
The above picture shows all four of his teeth pretty well. So cute. We've been trying more foods that he has to chew. I cut grapes into about 10 pieces to ensure he doesn't choke. Can you say overprotective mother? The people food I give him regularly are: cheese, bread, grapes, apples, cucumbers, and eggs. He's tried a few other things off my plate every once in awhile.
I cannot believe how close my baby is to being a year old. The time has flown by and I have loved every minute of it. Even in the tough times our relationship has further developed and I love our connection. I could not have asked for a better baby and cannot express the love my heart holds for this child.
Thank you, Lord, for my amazing baby boy.
