New Baby!!!!

Time to play catch up! We'll see how many posts I can get through while Jack naps. 

We found out on August 17 that we were expecting "New Baby". Baby has been dubbed "New Baby" since I can't bring myself to call him/her "Baby #2" with our Angel Baby. Since I had been using the Wondfo Ovulation Predictor Sticks, I was very hopeful that this month would be our lucky go round. It had been three months since the miscarriage and my cycle still wasn't normal. The ovulation sticks said "go", even though it was a week earlier than I expected. Sure enough, two weeks later I peed on the cheapo sticks that came with the ovulation predictors and two of them showed two pink lines. After taking the first test I stared at it and thought I imagined the faint second line that grew darker and darker. I couldn't deny the second line so I took a second test. I had a box of digital tests in my nightstand drawer, but forced myself to wait until the morning to use them. The next morning they confirmed the pregnancy.

I was exactly 4 weeks along when we found out. Uncle Mark was visiting that weekend so I put on Jack's "Big Brother" tshirt and sent him downstairs to say good morning. Uncle Mark is our kids' godfather so it seemed fitting that he was the first to find out. When I took the first two tests I sent a text message to Matt to tell him. He was downstairs playing video games with Mark and I wanted to get his attention. It took about a half hour before he noticed it though. 

The picture I sent in the text is one we took before the miscarriage. I figured it would get the message across though. 

Looking back, I wish I had more self control. Matt's graduation from BOLC was only a couple days later. I could've given him a little present with baby things to tell him... But I was so excited I just couldn't wait! 

At this point I didn't have any pregnancy symptoms, I just have a tendency to take pregnancy tests ASAP when I'm hopeful. How much money have I wasted in tests in the past? But this time, this time it was all worth it! Baby is due April 27, 2014. Jackson and New Baby will be 2 years and 1 month apart. Hopefully New Baby will come early like Jack. 

We are already love New Baby so much! This is perfect timing for our little family to grow. I am so thankful for God's perfect plan and providence in our lives.
