12 Weeks/ 3 Months

12 Weeks! I considered doing our public Facebook announcement after 12 weeks, but out next ultrasound was at 14 weeks (I got another one since we moved to a new state) so I decided to wait. I liked having a little secret. I did tell our close friends, though. Mainly the friends who knew we had a miscarriage.

This month was crazy busy. We moved from Oklahoma to Tennessee. Thankfully, the Army packed and moved our things. I don't know how we would've managed if I had to do it all myself! I was so thankful that during our drive (we drove both cars) I didn't have to stop to get sick. That was definitely an answer to prayer. We found a wonderful house to rent. I loved looking at houses and imagining raising two kids there! Our house has cute rooms for Jack and New Baby and a full playroom where I'm sure we'll spend lots of time. We also have a large backyard so Jackson can run around while New Baby and I sit on the porch or in the shade (there are lots of trees too!). So perfect to bring New Baby home to.

This month we found out that not only will we have a new baby in 2014, but we will also have a new baby nephew or niece! Jamie found out she was pregnant during my 9th week. She is 5 weeks behind me, due in June. So here we go again! Last time we were pregnant together also, but just for 3 months. This time we'll have a lot more to compare!

Symptoms:
*still lots of exhaustion. Jackson watched a LOT of Disney Junior while I laid on the couch. I suppose we should get our money's worth from the cable because we don't plan on getting regular tv or cable here in TN.
*sore breasts when nursing Jack. My milk was already beginning to dry up also. This should help with weaning Jack, but doesn't make him very happy.
*vivid dreams. I dream about things I'm thinking about or mix together movies I've watched recently or books I've read.
*nausea- but I'm wasn't throwing up every day, so that is progress. This made eating difficult since nothing sounded good.
*acne
*not interested in physical contact- whether intimacy or just snuggling. I still snuggle with Jackson when he climbs on my lap, but I feel too hot or icky if Matt wants to.
*tight abdomen- at least it doesn't feel all floppy making me wonder if I've been eating too much! Nope, definitely baby belly!
*headaches- no surprise there since I get them regularly even when not pregnant.

Cravings:
*italian bread with butter
*rice Krispies cereal
*applebee's queso dip with potato twisters
*nachos
*apples
*froyo
*french fries
*cranberry juice
*sour patch kids
*sour cream and onion Pringles
*eggs on toast
*blueberry pop tarts
*hot apple cider
*glazed donuts
*ham and cheese sandwiches
*orange juice
*lucky charms
*rice Krispies treats
*milk
*yogurt parfait
*wendy's baked potatoes and chili
*pickles
*grilled cheese
*hot dogs

Aversions:
*cheese products
*leftovers
*most meat
*salad
*coffee- I have it up cold turkey at the beginning of pregnancy because it didn't sound good. I didn't realize it until now though. Maybe has to do with my headaches too.
*pasta
*burgers
*fish
*cheezits
*white cheddar popcorn
*subway
*bananas

A lot of overlap with those cravings and aversions. Since one post covers 4 weeks there is a lot of change. Pregnancy really messes with your taste buds!

Almost out of the first trimester and almost time to see New Baby again!
