You also know you're a mother when...
*You don't shower for two days... or change out of your jammies for the same... and you just don't care!
*Your child is wearing a jammy top, mismatched pants, and even worse matched socks... because they were the closest things you could find.
*The most exciting thing to happen to you in the past month is your son learning to stand on his own.
Because those happened this week.
I have head a cold. It's not the I-feel-like-death-can't-move-can't-think cold that has been going around, thankfully. Just a regular cold. Runny nose, headache, slight cough. Super tired. Thankfully, baby has been contenting himself for the most part. I'll look over at him in his play pen and he's just standing there looking at the TV or his toys or waving his arms around, etc. I think him being a little more independent with his movements is helping him be more independent in life overall. That's a good thing.
Thankfully, Jack does not seem to be catching my cold. He has a runny nose, but another tooth just emerged so I think that was the culprit and not a cold. We'll see. Hopefully he doesn't get all stuffed up like I did. That would be miserable as a baby.
I keep going back and forth about church tomorrow morning. I don't want my germs going into the nursery. Every day I feel a little better for the most part. It comes and goes. Ick.
Winter time illnesses are the worst. Well, illness at any time is the worst. The end.
