Jackson's 2nd Birthday Party

After uploading his birthday party pictures to Facebook, I apparently forgot to write a post about it! We had so much fun at Jackson's party on his birthday. In the morning we had a play date with some little friends we're met here and had lunch.

For lunch we had some of Jackson's favorites: pizza, fruit, and salad. Lemonade or water to drink. Rice Krispies Treats and Sugar Cookies for dessert.

When Daddy came home we opened presents. We put Jack's new chair in his room from Grammy and Papa. He loves it! (This is pottery barn kids' oversize anywhere chair. We chose the oversize one so he'll be able to grow into it)

He loves riding the Daddy horsey.

He got lots of fun presents. One of his favorites is his "Mi Mi" from Aunt CC and cousins, Ethan and Calvin. He has never been overly attached to a stuffed toy but he carries this around and likes to sleep with it.

Mumma and Daddy got Jackson the Toy Story Bluray bundle pack. We've only had the 3rd one until now. We watched the first one after dinner.

Angel Food cake with whipped cream and strawberries for dessert. Jack isn't a fan of cake or cupcakes so this is for Mumma and Daddy. He did love his big bowl of strawberries though!

He got a ridey toy from Grammie and GrandPops! A tricycle that he should be able to ride for many years to come with the adjustable seat. He loves the buttons and sounds and is slowly figuring out how the peddles work. This will primarily be an outside toy, but it's been cold and rainy so far.

All around, he had a very good birthday! It is so hard to believe he is two. Life certainly goes quickly when you have a child to keep up with! When I tell stories about before I was pregnant with him (which seems like it was just the other day) I realize that those things happened 3 years ago! That's the same amount of time I was in college!

He has been the biggest blessing to his Daddy and I and we are so thankful for his sweet spirit and presence in our lives. We are also thankful that Daddy has been home for both Jackson's birthdays so far. We have been blessed with Daddy being around for most of Jack's big milestones. We would just happen to be visiting him at training etc when Jackson decided to crawl and had just moved back in with Daddy when he started to walk. Now we get to decipher his little words! His vocabulary grows every day, he's such a smart cookie!

We love you so much, Jackson!
