Tornado Warning Blahs

We're under a tornado watch right now. I'm all ready to grab Jack and put him in the bathtub and pull his mattress on top of us if needed. The sky is darkening, but it normally starts getting dark around now anyways. You would think that in tornado alley there would be more basements in houses! In OK and TN there aren't many houses with basements, at least when we looked.

Anyways, Hulu went out and Jackson is playing Mickey on my phone... so on the computer I go. I finished re-reading all the Harry Potters (never disappoints... except when you're done and you don't have any more to read) and haven't decided what to read next yet. So I am bookless for the time being. I think next week we're going to get an iPad mini so Jackson can play with that and leave my phone free. Every time I take it from him when someone calls or texts he gets so upset! He doesn't play with it all day, by any means, but he has some great learning apps. He learned his numbers 0-10, counting forwards and backwards, can point out shapes when you say the name, and is learning his letter names and order from apps. I haven't worked on them too intensely with him so it's all the apps! So I don't feel too bad letting him play with my phone.

So here I sit, BUT I was productive! Pat on my back. I found a bookshelf I had planned on getting for the boys (though not right now) for half the price it normally is! Can't pass that up! I was able to find a shelving unit for Jackson's room so we don't have to worry about getting him a full dresser yet. I planned to get a dresser for storage, but most everything fits in Daniel's dresser so we don't really need another one yet. The shelves were $50 and we were planning to spend around $300 on a good dresser so that's a ton of money saved for now. We may not even need a dresser for Jackson until we move! I also found the otterbox cover I planned to get for the iPad for half the price. Good grief! Sometimes random internet browsing pays off! Matt laughs at me because I have these mini freak outs about money sometimes- like having to buy Jackson a new bed, mattress, and dresser while making sure all our baby/nursery things are in order- and then it ends up being no where near as bad as I anticipated. For Jackson's big boy room we'll end up spending maybe $350-400 total. I was expecting his bedframe to cost that alone! Thank you, Amazon, for saving the day!

The boys' curtains arrived today. I went by the picture on Amazon only the first time and even though it showed floor length curtains, they were mid sized curtains. So I exchanged. The nursery is almost completely finished! I just need to hang the wall art and receive my custom print for Daniel's verse (I used a verse as inspiration for a poster for Jackson's nursery and am doing the same with a different verse for Daniel's) and it will be ready! So so exciting. I still have two months before Daniel is due, but I love having everything ready to go. I washed some of his things this week but am going to wait to wash his newborn cloth diapers and newborn clothes until 37 weeks. That way they'll be all nice and fresh.

Well, the wind is a bit ominous and there is thunder with no rain. Hopefully no cyclones hit us or near us or anywhere. Tornadoes are scary and just so destructive.
