Thanksgiving in Michigan

Matt had Thursday and Friday off for Thanksgiving weekend, so we decided to make a quick trip up to Michigan to see family! He was let out early on Wednesday so we were able to leave then and make the whole drive in one go. It was so nice to have 3 whole days just to relax with family. My mom had ankle surgery shortly before Thanksgiving so it we were able to bring her some Jackson cheer while she was immobile (except for a wheelchair to get around the house). Thanksgiving Day we celebrated with my parents, both sisters, the Winter family, my Aunt, my grandparents, and Matt's brother Mark. It was a full crowd but so nice to be able to see everyone.

This was Jack's make-shift bed! It was a pile of pillows covered by two down comforters. It was actually very comfortable and he slept just fine.

Jack loved playing with Aunt CC's phone, just like Mumma. He found Angry Birds- one of his current favorite games.

Don't worry, it's Root Beer. And it was empty. He saw my empty bottle and picked it up trying to get some!

My adorable grandparents. Pearl Eileen (I share her middle name) and Bruce Watson (Daniel will share his middle name).

Spending some time with Great-Grma Bonnell.

My sisters and I were just sitting chatting and my Dad made us get together for a picture.

Brookie just loved Jack! All the other cousins are old enough to want to play their own games. Jack doesn't run away and loves playing with Brookie!

We had breakfast at Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Iveson's house on Daddy's birthday. It was delicious as always and Jack loved playing with their dog, Toto.

Just like when Mumma and Jack lived up in Michigan for awhile, Jack still loved to play the piano with Papa.

It was a quick trip, but a 9 hour drive is much more manageable for a weekend trip than 12 hours from VA or 17 from OK! Babies and I may make regular trips up to see family while we live here in TN. We'll see how well Daniel travels. It's nice that it's an option though.

We have so much to be thankful for this year. Health, happiness, the best toddler, and a new baby on the way. So grateful.
