Really, this post is just because I would feel ridiculous putting this as a Facebook status.
So... We have been shopping for a second car. We sold out Honda Accord when we left Virginia in September. We now have a Jeep Cherokee. I am hoping to get a Jeep Commander.
After looking online I decide I like the 2008. We decide on a price range. I have a specific color I want.
Well, price range- thrown out the window. We based it on Kelley blue book, but apparently others don't go by that so much when selling! So we become more open. Can't find my color choice anywhere. Consider other colors. Think about buying something new for zero finance charges. Oh, the commander stopped being produced in 2010. Look at other makes. Whoa, price tag! Is zero financing worth it?
Look online. Find. The. Car.
It is a new listing. 2008. Commander. My color. Right in the middle of our original price range.
Downside? 3 hours away. Now, that is do-able. Especially if it is all that I think it will be.
Sent two emails via different web pages to show them just how much I'm interested. Plan to get the steps in motion for Matt's officer's loan and changing over our bank accounts tomorrow so this can be a possibility.
Now that I've found the exact car I want... I am worried someone else will snatch it up! I included in my emails that we will pay cash if they can hold it for us until we can come get it. 1-2 weeks (since we could only go down on weekends) isn't that bad when it's a guaranteed sale, right?
Sigh. Car shopping is exhausting, frustrating, nerve wracking, expensive.
